The 4th of July

I love the 4th of July! I have always loved going to all of the festivities put on by Kaysville. I always look forward to the day and I always get teary when the veterans come by during the parade.

Up at Grandma H's. We go up to Grandma's for a potluck after the parade.
Waiting for the fireworks there was a BEAUTIFUL sunset.

In the MEEB's Yard

Tonight we had our cousins from Idaho here to play. It was a nice evening to be outside!

Playing Baseball
We picked some strawberries and raspberries from our back yard. The kids were happy to eat them right off the vine. I love when they want to eat healthy!
I think those raspberries were a little sour!

Oh What fun in a Box!

I am always amazed at how entertained kids are by boxes. I mean seriously! A box?!? What would it be like to have imaginations like kids?

B's 6th Birthday

Holy Cow! B is 6! I am not sure how that happened so quick! Here are some of the weeks festivities:

Every year I make my kids a cake for their b-day. B wanted Spongebob. I was pretty proud of this cake. It would have looked a little less squatty if I would have had one or two more layers of cake but I ran out of time and cake mix so this is what we got!
B giving the cake a good stare. He is so silly!
B getting a zoobie pet from E. He really wanted one. It's a pillow that can unzip and has a blanket inside. It will be nice for traveling.
B with his friends at his party. He is in the back with a cupcake in his face. His party was at 3 Little Monkeys. I would highly recommend having a party there. It was so much fun!

B's Red Sox Team

B is lucky enough to have his Dad and his uncle M for his baseball coaches this year. It's a good thing that both M and uncle M love the Red Sox.

B and his awesome coach :)
Getting ready for a hit. He looks thrilled to be there, huh?!?

Last Day of School

It's funny that even though I have been out of school for 9 years, I still get that euphoric feeling when school is over. The whole week before school gets out I feel giddy. So some neighborhood people got together to have a little party.

E was a little grumpy this day. I blame it on lack of sleep, not bad parenting :)
E and her cousin A at Boondocks. I have to tell them to laugh whenever I take a picture of them otherwise I get a "bitter beer face" from both of them.

Me Interviewing... Me

So, for those of you who don't see me a lot, I have been trying to get pregnant for 15 months. So I decided to interview myself about it. That way you won't have to wonder :)

Q: Did it take you a long time to get pregnant with B and E?
A: It took about 6 months with B and 1 month with E.

Q:Have you been to a doctor about it?
A: Yes, she thinks it's possible that I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I have all the symptoms without the glucose problems.

Q: Are you doing fertility treatments?
A: Yes. I have taken clomid twice and femara once. It's really not very fun. I am so moody and grumpy on the clomid.

Q:Are you worried about having multiples?
A: Yes, my sister had twins while taking clomid. But I just have to have faith that if Heavenly Father wants me to have twins, I would have them whether I am doing fertility treatments or not. Also, at this point, I will take whatever I can get.

Q: Would you consider adopting?
A: I will give it a few more months before I think about it. It would be easier not to be pregnant, though!

Q: How are you feeling about it all?
A: Most of the time I'm doing OK. It all has to do with that having faith that Heavenly Father knows what is best for us in our family. It will all work out how it is supposed to. But sometimes I do cry and get sad about it. I know that there are lots of people out there who wait a lot longer and I am grateful that I already have two amazing kids who I love and who keep me busy.

So there you have it. Now you don't have to wonder if we are having anymore kids. And why Erica is almost 4 and we don't have another yet. But if you ever have more questions, just ask. I am not too sensitive about it.
