My Latest Projects

Here are the sewing projects I have been working on lately:

I bought a plain t-shirt from Target for 9 bucks and felt like it needed a little something. So out of some scraps of a dress I am going to make for Erica I made a few "yo-yo's". I think it turned out pretty cute.

I bought this pattern from a lady on Etsy. It is from a Utah designer who I just love. It was my first project doing shirring. I've always been a little intimidated by anything that has shirring, but it was surprisingly easy!

E's New Skirt

This is sort of a side note, but look how long E's hair was getting!! And then I cut about 3 inches off. Now I think I need to cut more off. She is always chewing on her hair and it is damaged from too much hair-doing fun. This is her hair straightened. Normally it didn't look this long because of her curls.

This is the new skirt I made for E. She will end up having so many clothes because I am always in the process of making her something new.

Silly B

As I have mentioned before, B loves to Make people laugh. He recently figured out that he can wear E's dress ups and get a good laugh. Here are some sillies!

I think this one is my favorite pictures. So funny!

My Blog Soapbox

So I recently read a friends blog and she wrote about how some friends had told her that they stopped reading people's blogs because it made them depressed to hear about how great other peoples lives are. How sad for them!
I just wanted to put a word in that my personal blog is just for people who care about what is going on in me and my kids lives. I never want to seem like I am boasting or think I have the best life ever. I do really like my life. There are a lot of great things about it. There are also a lot of things I don't like or feel like need improvement. I just usually post about the good things because that is when I have my camera around!
Just know that it is never my intention to brag about my life. We all have good things and bad things happen to us. I am not immune to this. I started this blog to let people who don't live by me see what is going on with my family. I also blog to have memories of our life. I am horrible at writing in a journal so this is my version.
Last week when my sister was here from out of town I asked all my family if they even read my blog. I was feeling bad because there weren't any comments on some of my posts. After reading what my friend had written about her friends feeling like she had the perfect life, I realized how stupid of me it was to even care if anyone comments. Now I am hoping I haven't guilted anyone into commenting because I mostly just write this for me.
Ok. Now my ramblings are over. Thanks for listening! Well, I guess I mean thanks for reading. :)

Easter

We had a really fun Easter this year!! The kids got to have three Easter egg hunts. The first one was at my house with all of the family on my side. It was a little bit crazy but so much fun!

Here is B and E looking at their Easter baskets on Sunday morning. They had dyed some eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide and he did a really good job of hiding them!

I didn't take any pictures of them doing and Easter egg hunt at Grandma K's (because their Grandpa A freaks out if there is a camera around) but they got soooo much candy! I guess that means that they will be sharing with Momma! Lucky me! I think Easter candy is the best.

Seriously?!?

I know that it is April Fool's Day today, but this is not a joke, because I have the pictures to prove it. Last week E hurt her hand. I took her to the Dr. the next day and he didn't see an obvious break, but he decided to put her in a splint and take take more X-rays after a week. He still couldn't see an obvious fracture, but because of some other issues he decided to put her in a permanent cast. She chose Pink of course. She will be in it for 3 weeks.

While E was at the Dr., B was "pillow surfing" across a hardwood floor at my sis-in-laws and hit his face on the floor. He has a massive swollen lip and a red cheek. He doesn't want to go to school tomorrow because he's embarrassed, but I think I've talked him into going because they are doing an Easter egg hunt tomorrow.

Thank goodness we don't have serious injuries like this all the time!!
