E's Birhtday

Here are some pictures of E's birhtday. How in the world did she get so old and big??!? Here is the happy (usually) 3 year old:

Here we are with the birthday cake I made her. I felt a little out of practice with the fondant, but it was fun to make anyway. I call the cake "The Barbie Belle of the Ball"

Here she is dressed up in a Tinkerbelle costume that Uncle M and Aunt M's family gave her. She loves to dress up.

This was at her birthday party with M's side of the family. She had a Disney Princess cake. Yes, she was eating a sucker as she was waiting for cake and ice cream. It was her birthday, right?

She loved opening up all the presents. She even let B help when he asked to. She really is a sweetheart inside all the spunky exterior!!

From the Mouth of Babes

I told B I would help him figure out how to work a toy after I got E in her carseat. He said "I figured it out mom. I read the constructions."

I was writing through facebook to a friend. E asked what I was doing. I told her I was talking to a friend on the computer. E looked at me seriously and said "Computers don't talk, Mom."

I was talking to M about a doll E had just gotten for her birthday. It was really cute and had pink hair. I held it up to M and asked him who he thought it looked like. He said it looked like his niece M. B said "M had pink hair when she was a baby?!?"

NYC and Boston

M and I went to Boston and NYC a few weeks ago without the kids. We went a lot of places that we hadn't gone before. It was lots of fun!!!

This was at the Red Sox game. The first game we went to we bought tickets from a scalper. It was a little bit scary! We were in the "cheap seats" where the fans get really loud and wild. It was super humid (notice the glow on our faces). The second game we had seats that were a lot closer. We got lots of Red Sox gear at the store.

Although we have been to NYC three times before, we had never been to the Empire State Building. It was raining while we were up there so here was a picture of a storm coming in.

We had also never been to the Brooklyn bridge before. We walked from the Brooklyn side to the Manhatten side. I never knew it was such a popular thing to do! There were tons of people up there!

B's Birthday and a new haircut

E eating cake and ice cream

B and I with the cake I made him.  And that is my new hair cut.  Although not on a great hair day.

B got a Bumblebee mask for his Birthday.  You can talk like a transformer in it.

Another one of his presents.  It eats Hot Wheel cars.

What kids do when they are bored or unsupervised

It's probably hard to see in this picture, but while E was in quiet time she decided to re-decorate her nightstand.  She also thought that her dresser, wall, books, and some clothes needed decorating, too.  Yeah, the medium she used was permanent marker.  Needless to say she got in big trouble.  Most of it did not come off, even with magic eraser.  It was everywhere!

I let B and E play while I am in the shower.  When I got out I yelled down to them to see if they were doing OK.  There was no answer so I went downstairs to see.  They had dumped out all of their toys in the living room and a Costco size bag of Craisins.  They did learn a good lesson, though.  If you don't want to pick up, don't dump everything out!!
Good thing they are cute!!

So Sorry!

I apologize to everyone who has been checking my blog the last month for an update!  I got a mac for my birthday and have yet to figure out how to download new pictures.  One of these nights, between the baseball, softball, YW's, cooking club, etc.  I will ask Mike to teach me how to download pictures to this computer.  Thanks for your patience!
Also, thanks for updating all of your blogs.  It is so much fun to read about what is going on with everyone and see all your cute families.
