Ski Bunnies

M and I took the kids skiing. It probably wasn't the best day for it, considering the gale force winds and snow, but we all still had a good time once we got on the mountain. It's a whole lot of gear to keep track of, though when there are 4 pairs of skis and all the warm gear etc! Next time we will have them go to a class. We figure they probably wouldn't whine as much for strangers.

Three Special Steps

Me: B, do you remember why I am buying you a toy at the store today?
B: Yes. Because I did three special steps.
Me: Not quite.
B: Oh. Well I like three specials steps better.

Do you think he has been watching a little too much TV lately? :) Those with kids who watch Disney Channel on TV will get it.
I bought B a toy at the store because he go all three's on his report card. That is the best he can get. He got all three's last term too. I do understand that is is Kindergarten, but I am still really proud of him.

Creative Outlet

I have been feeling the need to be creative lately. Here are some of the projects that I have been working on:

A dress/smock for E. I was pretty proud of myself because I made this without a pattern. Nice silly face, huh?

Hair clips. I am not sure that I really have a future in this, but it did fill my creative quota.

I made this quilt for B's kindergarten teacher. She was diagnosed with cancer again this year after having breast cancer last year. This was her Christmas present. B was really proud to give her this for Christmas.

For anyone who sews, do you have any ideas for things to make for boys? B kind of feels left out because I never make anything for him. There really just isn't anything to make for boys that isn't fru-fru or 80's looking. Oh well. I guess he'll just have to deal with it.

Disneyland, AGAIN!!

I know that we are a little crazy, but we have been to Disneyland 5 times this year. We have season passes so it makes it a little more affordable and we should get our money's worth, right?!? I think we won't be going again for a while. It was waaaayy too crowded. Now we know
not to go right before Christmas. We still had fun though. Except for the day that E was throwing up. Good learning experience :)

B and E with their cousin A eating popsicles while we were waiting for the bigger kids to finish going on a ride.

B and E with Jessie in California Adventure. They love to see Disney characters!

B and E and all their cousins who were with us in Disneyland getting their picture taken with Minnie and Mickey. We got to go to a private party there just because they invited M in and we all followed. It was kind of cool! We got free food and drinks and pictures with lots of characters.

Santa was in California Adventure for all the kids to see him. They told them what they wanted for Christmas. It was their first time sitting on Santa's lap this year.

Christmas pictures

Here is a recap of our Christmas in a few pictures:

This is how E ended her Christmas day. She fell asleep at 5:30 PM! Too much excitement, I guess.

Nothing like the excitement of a child, huh? This was their reaction to getting a gumball machine. Thanks Heidi's kids!

Here they are in their cute matching PJ's. They are holding Christmas books because one of our traditions it to wrap up lots of Christmas books and after Thanksgiving letting the kids each take turns unwrapping the book to read each night.
Here are the kids with some of their cousins acting out the Nativity. E was Mary this year and B was the inn keeper. You can't really see his face, though.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

New Family Pictures

I have been trying to post these for over a week! I have had problems uploading the pictures through blogger, so sorry those few of you who read this. We just got family pictures done and they were so dang cute!!!

Handsome B. He is 5 1/2. Doesn't he look so big?!? Is he that big?!?

The epitome of "saying cheese", E is 3 and fully potty trained!! Yay!! Don't you love her curls? Au natural.

Our sweet family. This is the one where we all look at least OK. Some of the others are just plain funny because of all the faces that we're pulling as we try to look natural.

My Transformer and Princess (and the tough guy)

Here is E as beautiful Princess Aurora. Although if you had asked her what she wanted to be she would have said a "a bunny and I will say honk, honk" I have no clue where she got that.

Here is B. He was Bumblebee the Transformer. When people would ask what he was going to be he would say bumblebee and I think they all pictured him dressed as a bee.

A picture of my three favorite people! B chose the "moosetash" and eyebrows for M.

Here are the two pumpkins that I carved. The kids helped me paint the Jack Skelllington one. We have been loving that movie at our house! We were in Disneyland a few days before Halloween and they had a cool fireworks show with Nightmare Before Christmas characters and Music. Way fun!
